The purpose of TweetMix is to show what good mixing can do for your song.

Each month I am mixing one song for an UNSIGNED artist for free.

I will choose my favorite song or most potentially challenging mix.

From the 1st-5th of the month you can submit mp3’s or AAC’s to tweetmix@exit1200.com

My mix will post by the 15th of the month, schedule permitting.

My final mix will post alongside your ruff version. Discussion will be allowed and encouraged.

I will summarize the mix and discuss how and why I did certain things.

The artist will get back a 16bit 44.1khz (CD Quality) version of the Main Mix only.

The file will be “pre-mastered,” or close to mastered quality loudness.

You will also get a mastering-ready version.

All genres are welcome!

Here are the rules:

Song must be clean.

No samples.

All tuning and vocal editing must be done previously. I will not tune songs.

No stereo instrumentals matched to multitrack vocals. Must be full song files.

All song editing, arranging, and Beat Detective work must be done before I get files.

All vocals must be dry. No effects, no EQ, no compression.

If I select your song, I will send an email with directions on how to deliver the files.

Don’t send more than 1 song per month, I will eliminate your entries.

All writers must agree to allowing the song stream on exit1200.com for at least 6 months.

There are no mix revisions or recalls.

If you need more versions or would like revisions, a discounted indy rate will apply.

I will only mix the same artist once a year. But, of course, if I love the project...
